ACM India Summer Schools 2022

NOTE: Selected students of Shape Modelling (IIITD) and Data Science (IITGN) schools will be informed about the further process by email. Selected students of Data Science/AI/ML (for women only) school will be informed on 6th June.

ACM India summer schools are back, and this time they are getting physical! We are pleased to announce "ACM India Summer Schools 2022." These schools offer self-motivated students in-depth knowledge and exposure to research in advanced technology areas. Each school typically covers academic and applied research in a technology topic, and is taught by the best-in-class faculty from academia and industry. Conducted over a two-week period, it’s practically a one-semester equivalent course of the highest quality.

From the applications received from across India, up to 50 students will be selected per school. They will spend two weeks on the host institute campus. Note that the registration fee of Rs2500 (to be paid only by the selected students) covers the entire lodging and boarding expenses during the school. Each day comprises lectures as well as tutorial sessions with hands-on problem solving experience. Toward the end of the school, there will be a session focused on career options in the area covered by the school.

These schools are targeted at students in the pre-final year of Bachelor's program or higher, unless marked otherwise in the school’s website. Like previous iterations, we again have one school exclusively for women students. Please note that these schools are open to all students, not only those who are ACM members. So please feel free to circulate this message in your academic institutions and fellow student network.

As the COVID-19 situation has improved (keeping fingers crossed), we are organizing all the schools in physical mode. There is no application fee. Only the selected students will be asked to pay the registration fee of Rs2500 + 18% GST. We are watching the COVID-19 development closely. If the situation warrants it, the schools will be converted to online mode, and the registration fees will be adjusted accordingly. We encourage you to go ahead and apply to the schools of your interest.
