Call for Nominations: ACM India-Women Committee 2025 - 2029

ACM India-Women (ACMI-W) is seeking nominations from women professional members of ACM residing in India for the ACMI-W Committee. The Nominations Committee (NC) will be selecting three members to the ACMI-W Committee. The term of the members will be four years (1 July 2025 – 30 June 2029).
All nominations will be scrutinized by the NC, which is empowered to make the final selection, subject to ratification by the ACM India Council. The ACMI-W Committee members will recommend, from within their group, ACMI-W Chair, Vice-Chair and Secretary/Treasurer to the ACM India Council.
Nominees should be professional members of both ACM and ACM-W. They can either be self-nominated or proposed by other members. The nominees should be individuals with exposure to, and experience with, ACM and its activities. Examples of such engagements include, but are not limited to, volunteer work for ACM India and its chapters, organization of ACM India events, participating in the organizing/program committees of conferences and technical events, etc.
A nomination should contain the following details (in a single Zip file):
- Full name of nominee
- ACM membership number
- Affiliation
- Contact Information including Email and Mobile
- Prior experience related to ACM and its programs
- Statement of purpose for nomination (300 words)
- Three references with contact information (whom the NC may approach for additional information, if necessary).
- Resume
- Full name and affiliation of nominator (if not self)
Please email your nominations to the NC Chair, Jayant Haritsa ([email protected]) by 6 PM, 31 March, 2025. All nominations will be vetted against the ACM Sanctions database to confirm eligibility for serving on the ACMI-W committee.
