ACM USTPC HotTopic, February 11: “Technology & Trust: Voting in the Electronic Age”
February 4, 2021
The US Technology Policy Committee of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM USTPC) is proud to present “HotTopics,” a bimonthly webinar series dedicated to exploring today’s most pressing computing-related technology issues and their implications for US policy and law. Every 90-minute HotTopics session will take attendees inside a pressing issue in the headlines, from artificial intelligence to quantum computing, with a focus on its implications for US law and policy. Expert panelists will provide their own insights and engage all particpants in extended discussion.
Election 2020 put scores of social and technology issues in high relief, but few as starkly as the importance of faith in our election systems. On Thursday, February 11 from 5:00 pm to 6:30 PM EST, USTPC's next HotTopics webinar will explore Technology & Trust: Voting in the Electronic Age.
Please plan to join moderator and USTPC Chair Jim Hendler, ACM technical experts Doug Jones and Barbara Simons, USTPC Law Subcommittee Chair Andy Grosso, and Brennan Center voting law expert Liz Howard for a deep and audience-interactive discussion of voting in America and the technologies at its core.
