Join ACM's US Technology Policy Committee
Thanks for your interest in joining ACM’s US Technology Policy Committee!
Members help shape the Committee’s action agenda, author its official Statements and other materials shared with policy makers and the public, and spot emerging issues on which the Committee might engage. As opportunities arise, Committee members also may meet with Members of Congress and their staffs, author articles and OpEds for promotion by and through ACM, and speak with journalists on and off the record.
Joining USTPC is easy! First, be sure your membership in ACM is current. Then, simply email the ACM Public Policy Office with: your name, member number (if at hand), and a short bio (or URL for one). Tell us, too, which of the Committee’s eight standing Subcommittees you’d like to sit on (there’s no limit) and receive email concerning. USTPC’s steering group, the “Secretariat,” will review your information. Almost invariably, you’ll soon receive an email welcoming you to USTPC.
That’s all there is to it. Please do join USTPC today! (*)
* NOTE: Membership in USTPC carries with it the same benefits defined by the category of a member's underlying ACM membership. Student members are very welcome but thus are non-voting.
