Rules on Use of ACM Name and Logo
Conference organizers may not refer to ACM sponsorship or use the ACM name or logo in communications to authors or anywhere on the conference website. Misuse of the ACM name/ logo in these ways may result in rejection of ICPS applications. Examples of prohibited wording:
- The ACM conference on...
- Sponsored by ACM
- In partnership with ACM
- In cooperation with ACM (unless approved as an In-Coop conference)
- Published by ACM
Prior to approval of their ICPS application, conference organizers may not refer to publication in ICPS nor use the ICPS name or logo in communications to authors or anywhere on the conference website.
If a conference has been approved for publication in ICPS, the ICPS name and logo (but not the ACM name and logo) may be used in communications to authors and on the conference website. A link to the ICPS logo will be provided by ACM production staff at the appropriate time.
For approved ICPS conferences, the following specific language must be used alongside the approved ICPS logo: “The proceedings of [conference acronym] will be published in the ACM International Conference Proceedings Series (ICPS).”
